EchoStar’s latest cable solution for North America customers is Aria, a hybrid QAM/IP solution designed specifically for mid-sized and smaller cable operators. The Aria solution brings advanced features to smaller operators who are struggling to keep up with Tier 1 competition. Through a combination of hybrid set-top boxes and EchoStar’s hosted cloud-based features, smaller operators can quickly deploy a competitive solution without the need to invest significant capital expense in plant modifications.
Aria’s advanced features include SlingLoaded® placeshifting, remote DVR access, home media networking, whole home DVR, branded online program guide and mobile apps, full digital HD graphical user interface, remote software upgrades, and a state-of-the-art hosted VOD solution.

EchoStar’s satellite platform video delivery products and services are deployed in millions of homes and businesses worldwide.
We are pleased to announce the launch of our newest advanced satellite platform solution, XiP™. XiP is a next-gen hybrid satellite platform whole home DVR solution. One XiP-813 DVR (2TB hard drive) and up to four XiP-110 thin clients can be deployed in a home to provide a networked DVR sharing solution for five TVs. In addition to pausing a program in one room and then watching it in a different room, XiP technology provides the ability for independent viewing and recording from any system-connected TV in the home, including timer setting, event management, and home media access.
Through the Ethernet-connected XiP-813 DVR, subscribers also have access to advanced features such as VOD, TV apps, account management, and remote DVR access. The XiP solution also features EchoStar’s standard award-winning video features including graphical user interface, predictive content search, and industry-leading RF two-way learning remote controls with updatable database.
