We are seeking an experienced RF Engineer II to join our team and drive performance improvements across our wireless network. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end RF optimization, system performance monitoring, and delivering data-driven solutions to enhance user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead RF design activities for 5G ORAN macro and small cell networks, including RFDS creation, PCI planning, site walks, and propagation modeling
Collaborate with national teams on new RAN feature testing, database tuning, and 5G DU/CU dimensioning
Optimize RF link budgets, network parameters, and performance for VoLTE, data, and overall QoS improvements
Conduct regular audits for PCI, neighbor relations, and parameters; troubleshoot network anomalies with cross-functional teams
Perform and analyze drive tests, ATP, and 911 testing; resolve site-specific technical issues independently
Stay current on evolving RF technologies, engineering standards, and best practices
Education and Experience:
Skills and Qualifications:
Full proficiency with RF optimization tools (XCAP, ACTIX, Windcatcher), DT measurement tools, KPI monitoring (TPIM, Onedata), and OSS tools (NETACT, ELMENT)
Strong understanding of 5G RF OSS parameters, Layer 3 call flows, and ability to adjust network settings to improve KPIs
Proficient in LTE/5G design and optimization equipment setup, calibration, and data processing
Skilled in using propagation/planning tools (Planet, Atoll) with experience in model calibrations and interference analysis
Experienced with drive test data processing, map generation, frequency planning, interference analysis, and site database management
Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to propose process improvements, support team ideas, and present technical data to stakeholders; scripting or macro experience desired
Ability to visit Boost stores or sites as needed; occasionally lift equipment up to 20 lbs
US-based driver’s license or the ability to obtain one quickly, and the ability to successfully pass a motor vehicle records check is required

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
