Candidate Advice

Landing a Customer Experience role is about presenting yourself as confident, driven and professional. Here are nine tips to help you thrive:

1

Dress for Success

First impressions matter. It’s essential to show up in business casual attire that reflects professionalism and readiness for a client-facing role. Envision how you would want to be perceived if you were meeting a potential client. Avoid overly casual clothing. We don’t need a full suit, but slacks and a polo or top are appropriate.

2

Bring an Updated Resume

Bring a printout of your updated resume. Even though it's already been submitted online, having a printed version shows the hiring manager preparation and organization. Ensure your resume highlights your achievements, even if you don’t have any prior experience. While prior experience is not required, it is welcomed.

3

Don’t Hide Your Enthusiasm

Show your excitement for the opportunity as enthusiasm is one of the top attributes hiring managers look for.

4

Research and Learn More About Us

Before your interview, check out our careers site, review recent team stories and EchoStar LinkedIn posts. Be prepared to speak on what excites you about joining EchoStar and how you see yourself contributing to the success of the organization as a whole.

5

Make Your Pitch

A strong candidate showcases skills that make them a good fit for the role. Using the S.T.A.R. Method, make connections between your past successes and this new role.

6

Emphasize Your Desire to Grow

Share examples that reflect your drive to succeed. Emphasize that you’re interested in an opportunity where you can grow, achieve and be rewarded. At EchoStar, we invest in our team members and want to help them build their career.

7

Prepare Questions

Preparing questions for the hiring manager shows your interest and investment in the opportunity. Conducting research and asking questions allows hiring managers to understand what matters most to you and why you’re interested in the opportunity to join our team.
